Reginaldo Romo Killed in Head-On Crash on U.S. 377 in Whitesboro

Reginaldo Romo ID’d as 1 of 2 Killed in Whitesboro Crash on U.S. 377 near Chisum Trail Road

Grayson County, Texas (June 10, 2022) – One of the two people who were killed Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision near Whitesboro in Grayson County has been identified as Reginaldo Rogelio Romo, 39.

The fatal crash occurred at around 12:47 p.m. Thursday, June 9, on U.S. 377, just north of Chisum Trail Road, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Romo, a resident of Gainesville, was driving southbound on U.S. 377 when, for an unknown reason, his car veered into the opposite lane, where it collided head-on with a northbound vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man.

Romo and the other driver were declared dead at the scene at 12:52 p.m.

A passenger in the northbound car was airlifted to Medical City Denton in critical condition.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
