Reyes Garza Killed in Laguna Heights Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 100

Reyes Garza ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Laguna Heights Crash on State Highway 100 and Madison Street

Laguna Heights, Texas (April 2, 2023) – The man who died after he was struck by a vehicle on Thursday night in Laguna Heights has been identified as Reyes Garza, 66, of Laguna Heights.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash happened at about 9:08 p.m. Thursday, March 30, on State Highway 100 and Madison Street.

Garza was trying to cross the street when he was hit by a gray Dodge Journey that was heading westbound on State Highway 100.

Garza, who was wearing dark clothing in a densely lit area, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. DPS said he did not use the proper crosswalk.

DPS is investigating the crash.
