Robert Keegan and Two Others Injured in Port Arthur Multi-Vehicle Crash at Twin City Highway and 39th Street
Port Arthur, Texas (April 20, 2023) – According to the Texas DPS, three people were injured on Wednesday in a multi-vehicle crash in Port Arthur.
The crash happened around 3:00 p.m., on April 19, at the intersection of Twin City Highway and 39th Street.
DPS said a 2015 Jeep SUV was traveling northbound on Twin City Highway, while a 2000 Honda SUV and a 1995 Nissan pickup were stopped at the red light on 39th Street facing westbound. A 2011 Nissan passenger car was traveling eastbound on 39th Street when it disregarded the red light at the intersection and struck the Jeep, causing it to overturn. The Nissan passenger car then struck the Honda SUV and pushed it into the Nissan pickup.
The Jeep driver and the Honda driver were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Nissan passenger car, 35-year-old Robert Keegan of San Antonio, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Nissan pickup, 46-year-old Julian Sanchez of Port Arthur, was uninjured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
