Ruben Lundgren Killed in Cherokee County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 84

Cherokee County, Texas – One person was killed and another was injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Cherokee County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened just after 8:00 p.m., December 12, on US Highway 84 near Maydelle.

Authorities said a 2006 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound when it crossed the traffic lanes and struck a 2021 GMC Terrain.

The Camry driver, Ruben Lundgren, 23 of Jacksonville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The GMC driver, 46-year-old Shinnitta Foreman, of Rusk, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
