Rudy Williams Killed in Polk County Pedestrian Accident on US 190

Polk County, Texas (August 21, 2019) – A person was killed early Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Polk County, seven miles east of Livingston, a local news source reported.

The deadly accident occurred around 12:40 a.m., on US 190.

DPS said a 2000 Bounder motorhome, driven by 58-year-old Homero Ortiz, of Houston, was traveling westbound on the highway when it hit 33-year-old Rudy Williams, of Livingston, who was in the roadway.

Williams was taken transported to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Livingston where he later died.

Ortiz was uninjured in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
