Selina Gilchriest Killed, Jaqueline Teeters and Drew Broom Injured in San Jacinto County Multi-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 59

San Jacinto County, Texas – A woman was killed and three other people were injured on Monday in a multi-vehicle crash in San Jacinto County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened on January 15, on US Highway 59.

DPS said a Toyota Rav4 was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Impala, which then collided with a Ford F-150.

A Kenworth truck tractor semi-trailer was able to safely veer to the left to avoid the crash but was hit by a Nissan. The passenger of the Ford exited the vehicle and was pinned between the vehicles when the Ford was hit from behind by a Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer.

The Impala driver, 44-year-old Jaqueline Teeters of Livingston, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ford driver, 37-year-old Drew Broom of Jasper, who is a police officer for the City of Jasper, was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ford passenger, 37-year-old Selina Gilchriest, was taken to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital where she later died.

An 8-year-old in the Ford was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
