Tabitha Butler, Ricky Brashier Injured in 2-Car Accident on FM 105 in Orange County

Tabitha Butler and Ricky Brashier ID’d 2 People Injured in Fatal Orange County Crash on FM 105
Orange County, Texas (April 26, 2019) – The two people who were injured in a traffic accident that also left an 11-year-old child dead late Wednesday night in Orange County have been identified as Tabitha Butler, 39, and Ricky Brashier, 41, both of Vidor, according to authorities.
The deadly crash happened at about 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at the intersection of FM 105 and Lakeview Cutoff.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said Butler was driving a 2014 KIA passenger vehicle northbound on FM 105 when she tried to make a left turn onto Lakeview Cutoff and pulled into the path of a 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Brashier, who was traveling southbound.
The Chevrolet pickup truck then hit the KIA on the passenger-side door.
The 11-year-old child who was a passenger in the Kia sustained major injuries. He was taken to St. Elizabeth, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Butler was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with non-life threatening injuries while Brashier was also transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
