Tamyra Campbell Killed in Tyler Two-Vehicle Crash on Plantation Drive at Spring Branch Drive; Christopher Hardy Jr Arrested

Tyler, Texas (September 24, 2021) – According to the police, one person was killed early Friday morning in a DUI crash in Tyler.

The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m., at the intersection of Plantation Drive and Spring Branch Drive.

Police Christopher Hardy Jr., 27, of Tyler, was driving a car on Plantation Drive when he struck a parked car at the intersection.

A passenger in the car, Tamyra Campbell, 20, also of Tyler, was killed in the crash.

Hardy was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. He was arrested after being released from the hospital and was booked into the Smith County Jail for intoxication manslaughter. His bond was set at $300,000.

An investigation is underway.
