17-Year-Old Killed in Denton Pedestrian Accident near Bluebird Circle and Cardinal Drive
Denton, Texas (March 9, 2019) – The 17-year-old who was seriously injured last month in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Denton has succumbed to their injuries, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at an unspecified time on Tuesday, February 26, near the intersection of Bluebird Circle and Cardinal Drive.
Police said Delisha McPeters was driving when he hit the teenager near the intersection.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries where they succumbed to their injuries on Friday, March 8.
Delisha fled the scene after the accident. He and his passenger Joshua McPeters were later arrested.
Joshua was charged with tampering with evidence for attempting to clean the victim’s blood off their vehicle.
The two brothers could be facing additional following the victim’s death.
An investigation is ongoing.
