Man Killed in Texarkana Pedestrian Accident on North State Line Avenue

Texarkana, Texas (April 20, 2019) – A man in a wheelchair was fatally hit by a vehicle on Thursday night in Texarkana, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The accident took place at around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, April 18, on North State Line Avenue.
According to the DPS, a 68-year-old man was trying to cross North State Line Avenue in a wheelchair when he was struck by a southbound 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe.
The report showed that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hyundai driver was not injured. DPS said the driver remained at the scene after the accident.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
