Woman Killed, 2 Children Injured in Odessa Car Accident at Andrews Highway and 87th Street
Odessa, Texas (January 31, 2019) – One person was killed and two others were injured Wednesday evening at an Odessa intersection, authorities said.
The tragic accident happened at an unspecified time Wednesday, January 30 at the intersection of Andrews Highway and 87th Street.
According to the authorities, a woman was driving a silver Toyota 4Runner westbound on 87th Street when she failed to stop at a stop sign and hit an H2 Hummer that was heading northbound on Andrews Highway.
The woman was declared deceased at the scene while her two juvenile passengers were taken to a hospital where they were listed in critical condition.
The driver of the Hummer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
The names of the deceased and the injured victims have not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
