Travis Abbott Killed in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on 34th Street

Lubbock, Texas (July 26, 2021) – According to the police, one person was killed Saturday night in a pedestrian accident in central Lubbock.

The deadly accident happened around 9:40 p.m., July 24, in the 1100 block of 34th Street.

Police said Travis Abbott, 53, was attempting to cross the street southbound, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

Abbott was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
