Two Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 North at Splashtown

San Antonio, Texas (June 24, 2020) – Two people were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on June 22, in the 3300 block of Interstate 35 North at Splashtown.

Police said a 27-year-old man was driving a maroon Ford Fusion leaving a parking lot of a Motel 6 when he tried to switch lanes and was struck by a white Mercedes.

One of the vehicles rolled over after the crash.

The driver of the Ford was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be extricated. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Mercedes driver was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said speed was a factor in the crash.

One of the drivers might have been intoxicated and will be facing Intoxication Assault charges.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
