Two Severely Injured in Boating Accident at Lake Nasworthy Boat Ramp in San Angelo

Two Teenagers Hospitalized after San Angelo Boating Accident at Lake Nasworthy Boat Ramp on Beaty Road

San Angelo, Texas (May 23, 2020) – Two teenagers were severely injured in a boating accident Thursday afternoon on Lake Nasworthy in San Angelo, according to police.

The accident happened on May 21, at the boat ramp on Beaty Road, just off Knickerbocker Road.

Police said three passengers were riding on a tube being pulled by a boat when the boat’s driver executed a sharp turn. The boat made a complete 360 degrees turn and ran over the tube, injuring two of the passengers.

The victims, ages 17 and 18, were taken to the hospital with severe injuries to their lower extremities.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
