Uber Eats Driver Injured in End-Of-Pursuit Crash on Interstate 10 in Houston

Uber Eats Driver Injured in Houston Crash on Interstate 10 Saturday night

Houston, Texas (August 28, 2022) – An Uber Eats driver was injured after a police chase ended in a crash Saturday night in Houston, according to Houston police.

The pursuit began at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday, August 27, when officers spotted the stolen GMC car on the northeast side of the city. The driver failed to stop and fled on Interstate 10 to Waco and then southbound to Milby.

The suspect slammed into the Uber Eats car and then struck a telephone pole. Due to the impact, the suspect’s vehicle split in half.

The driver of the Uber Eats sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the stolen car was ultimately arrested, but two passengers fled on foot.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
