Waldin Martinez Seriously Injured in Boyd Two-Vehicle Crash on Texas 114 near CR 4599

Boyd, Texas (May 27, 2021) – Three people were seriously injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash west of Boyd, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash occurred around 4:40 p.m., May 24, on Texas 114, north of County Road 4599.

DPS said a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling northwest on the highway when the driver lost control of the car, crossed into oncoming traffic, and was hit by a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country van.

The Honda driver, Villela Martinez, 34, of Bridgeport, and a passenger, were taken to Wise Health System with serious injuries.

The van driver, Charles Wilson, 64, of Paradise, and a passenger were not seriously injured in the crash, but a third passenger sustained serious injuries and was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

An investigation is underway.
