73-Year-Old Wayne T. Cook Killed in Weatherford Motorcycle Accident on FM 920

Weatherford, Texas (February 19, 2020) – One person was killed in a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon north of Weatherford, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened around 3:20 p.m. February 17, on Farm-to-Market Road 920.

DPS said James L. Hopkins, 40, of Weatherford, was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup southbound on the highway when he turned left and failed to yield the right-of-way to a northbound 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle ridden by Wayne T. Cook, 73, of Weatherford.

The motorcycle then struck the Dodge.

Cook was pronounced dead at the scene.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
