Killeen, Texas (June 3, 2021) – According to the police, five people were injured Monday morning in a DUI crash in Killeen.

The crash happened shortly after 1:00 a.m., May 31, at the intersection of Central Texas Expressway and Rosewood.

Police said a white Dodge Ram pickup was traveling eastbound in the inside lane of Central Texas Expressway when it struck the left side of a vehicle that was stopped at a red light.

The Dodge continued through the intersection where it struck the left side of a Jeep Cherokee that was making a left turn onto Rosewood.

The force of the impact caused the Jeep to spin and hit a signal light pole.

Five people in the Jeep were taken to the hospital for treatment. Three of them were listed in critical condition, while the other two were listed in stable condition.

Adam James Bayle, 29, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Killeen City Jail. He was later transferred to Bell County.

An investigation is underway.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
