Wendy Hendershot Killed in Bell County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 190 near Pritchard Road

Bell County, Texas (October 27, 2020) – The person who was killed in a head-on collision Friday morning between Heidenheimer and Rogers south of Temple has been identified as Wendy Hendershot, 64, of Rogers, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 10:20 a.m., October 23, on U.S. 190 near Pritchard Road.

DPS said Hendershot was driving a Subaru Forester westbound on the highway when she lost control, crossed into the eastbound lanes, and crashed head-on into a Winnebago RV.

The RV crashed into a power pole after the collision.

Both vehicles came to rest near the Heidenheimer Church of Christ.

Hendershot was pronounced dead at the scene

The crash remains under investigation.
