Woman and Deputy Injured in NW Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash near FM 1960 and Solon Road

Harris County, Texas (October 30, 2020) – A woman and an off-duty deputy were injured in a head-on collision Thursday night in northwest Harris County, according to the deputies.

The crash happened on October 29, near the intersection of FM 1960 and Solon Road.

Deputies said an off-duty chief deputy with the Waller County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office was driving when he collided head-on with a vehicle driven by the woman.

The woman was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries.

The deputy was taken by an ambulance to the hospital with a broken leg.

The crash closed both directions of FM 1960.

The crash remains under investigation.
