Woman Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Boca Chica Boulevard in Brownsville

41-Year-Old Woman Killed in Brownsville Pedestrian Accident on Boca Chica Boulevard

Brownsville, Texas (May 21, 2022) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Friday night in Brownsville, according to the Brownsville Police Department.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Boca Chica Boulevard.

The pedestrian, only identified as a 41-year-old woman, was crossing Boca Chica Boulevard heading southbound when she was hit by a 2000 model white Chevrolet or GMC sports utility vehicle near the median.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of next kin.

The involved driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Anyone with information on a Chevy or GMC sports utility vehicle, which may have damage to the front end, is encouraged to call Brownsville Crime Stoppers at (956)-546-TIPS (8477).

The accident remains under investigation.
