Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on 610 West Loop 

Houston, Texas (June 7, 2020) – A woman was fatally hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Houston, according to police.

The deadly accident happened just after 3:00 a.m. on the 610 West Loop near W. Alabama.

Police said the woman had just been dropped off by a rideshare driver and was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of the freeway when she was struck by a vehicle.

The driver that hit the woman exited the freeway and called 911. The rideshare driver returned to the scene to help the woman.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

No further details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
