Killeen, Texas (March 24, 2022) – Four people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash in Killeen, according to the police.

The crash happened around 3:02 p.m., March 23, at the intersection of Central Texas Expressway and W. S. Young Drive.

Police said a black Jetta was traveling westbound on Central Texas Expressway when it ran a red light at the intersection and hit a Dodge Charger that was traveling northbound on W.S. Young Drive.

The impact caused the Charger to hit a Ford Focus that was stopped at a red light facing southbound and the Jetta to hit a Honda Odyssey that was traveling westbound on Central Texas Expressway.

The Jetta driver was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White in stable condition. The Charger driver was taken to Advent Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

The drivers of the Focus and Honda sustained minor injuries and were not taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation
