Woman Dies after Lufkin Pedestrian Crash on Timberland Drive

Lufkin, Texas (June 6, 2019) – The woman who was struck and injured by a vehicle on Tuesday morning in Lufkin has succumbed to her injuries, according to the Lufkin Police Department.

The incident took place at about 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, on Timberland Drive.

Police said a woman was trying to cross the roadway when she entered the path of a Chevy Camaro traveling southbound on Timberland Drive, leading to the crash.

The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased.

No further details were immediately released.

The crash is under investigation.
