Woman Killed in Harlingen Pedestrian Crash on South F Street

Harlingen, Texas (January 3, 2019) – A woman was hospitalized with major injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Harlingen on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Harlingen police.
The crash took place shortly after 5 p.m. January 2 in the 400 block of South F Street.
According to a preliminary investigation, a woman was trying to cross South F Street when she was hit by a southbound vehicle.
The officers responded to the incident and found the seriously hurt woman lying on the street.
Police said the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. There was no update on the victim’s condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved reportedly remained at the site of the crash.
The Harlingen Police Department is investigating the accident.
