Woman Injured After Car Plows into Houston Apartment on Hammerly Boulevard near Hollister Road

Houston, Texas (May 23, 2021) – According to the police, a woman was injured early Saturday morning after a car crashed into an apartment in northwest Houston.

The crash happened around 2:00 a.m., May 22, in the 8700 block of Hammerly Boulevard near Hollister Road.

Police said a man was driving when he lost control of his car, left the roadway, and crashed through a metal fence before plowing into an apartment building.

The force of the impact threw a woman who was watching television off her couch onto the floor.

The woman was treated for a knee injury.

The car driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The police are investigating the crash.
