Woman Killed, Another Injured in Pedestrian Crash on I-20 in Arlington

43-Year-Old Woman Killed in Arlington Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20

Arlington, Texas (January 9, 2021) – A woman was killed, and another was injured Friday night after they were struck by a vehicle in Arlington, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 10:30 p.m., January 8, on Interstate 20 between Green Oaks Boulevard and Kelly Elliott Road.

Police said a pickup truck became disabled in the inside lane and shoulder of the freeway after being involved in a crash.

The two women inside the truck got out of the vehicle and were standing on the inside shoulder as another driver stopped to help them.

The women were then struck by a third vehicle.

A 43-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries.

The driver of the third car stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
