Woman Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 near La Cantera Parkway

San Antonio, Texas (June 5, 2020) – A woman was killed early Friday morning in a wrong-way crash in San Antonio’s Northwest Side, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred at about 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 10 near the La Cantera Parkway exit.

Police said the woman was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-10 when her car was clipped by an 18-wheeler.

The impact caused the woman to spin out and crash into a concrete barrier, and her car burst into flames.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators, at least one other motorist had called 911 to report the wrong-way driver.

The big rig driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The crash remains under investigation.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
