Woman Killed in Head-On Crash on RR 1431 in Marble Falls

1 Killed and 1 Injured in Marble Falls Two-Vehicle Crash on RR 1431 near U.S. 281

Marble Falls, Texas (February 11, 2023) – A woman was killed, and another person was injured Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Marble Falls, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 11:30 a.m., February 9, on RR 1431 east, about three miles east of U.S. 281.

DPS said a 2020 Honda Civic was traveling eastbound when it crossed the double solid yellow lines and crashed head-on into a 2018 Nissan Altima.

The Altima driver was taken to an Austin hospital for treatment.

The Civic driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
