Worker Hit by Beam on Old Houston Highway in Prairie View
Man Airlifted after Prairie View Construction Accident on Old Houston Highway at East Texas Precast
Prairie View, Texas (April 24, 2019) – A 31-year-old man was hit by a beam Tuesday evening in Prairie View, according to a local news release.
The accident happened just before 6 p.m. April 23, in the 14800 block of the Old Houston Highway at East Texas Precast.
Authorities said the beam, weighing at least 30,000 pounds, hit the worker as a crane flipped over.
The man was airlifted to Texas Medical Center in unknown condition.
An investigation is underway.
