Yan Broytman Killed in Callahan County 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 20 near Baird

Callahan County, Texas – One person was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Callahan County, a local news source reported.

The fatal crash happened around 11:10 a.m., January 28, on Interstate 20 between Baird and Putnam.

According to the report, a 2017 Freightliner towing a Hyundai was stopped on the shoulder of I-20 westbound and was disabled as the driver attempted to repair the engine.

A 2011 Freightliner towing a Reitnouer trailer failed to maintain a single lane and struck the driver of the 2017 Freightliner who was outside the vehicle.

The driver of the 2017 Freightliner, 43-year-old Yan Broytman of Frisco, Texas, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the 2011 Freightliner was uninjured in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
