Zavier Dominguez and Armando Carrillo ID’d as Two Students Killed in Fisher County Crash on U.S. Highway 180

Fisher County, Texas (August 29, 2022) – Authorities have identified the two students who died following a fiery head-on collision early Saturday morning in Fisher County as Zavier Jakob Dominguez, 17, and Armando Carrillo, 14. Dominguez was a senior at Snyder High School and Armando was in 8th grade.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly crash happened at about 6:15 a.m. Saturday, August 27 on U.S. Highway 180 at milepost 381.

DPS said Dominguez was driving his car eastbound down the highway when, for an unknown reason, he drifted across the center median and collided head-on with a westbound SUV. Both vehicles burst into flames following the crash.

Dominguez and his passenger, Carrillo, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the SUV was airlifted to University Medical Center in Lubbock in serious condition.

DPS is investigating the accident.
