One Killed in Greenville Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 30

Greenville, Texas (December 8, 2021) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by an 18-wheeler early Saturday morning, just west of Greenville, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 2:35 a.m., December 4, on Interstate 30 westbound.

DPS said a pedestrian was attempting to cross the interstate from the northbound side to the southbound side when they were struck by a westbound 2017 tractor-trailer rig.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
