Harris County, Texas – One person was killed and another was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in West Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal crash happened just after 6:00 a.m., on Highway 6 just south of the Westpark Tollway.

Deputies said a man was driving a green Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed heading northbound when he veered over into the oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into an SUV.

Two people were pinned in the wreckage.

The driver of the Charger was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

A woman in the SUV was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
