Woman Dies, 6 Injured in Dallas Crane Accident on Live Oak Street

Dallas, Texas (June 10, 2019) – One person was killed and at least six people were injured when a construction crane collapsed on an apartment building Sunday evening in Dallas, authorities said.

The accident happened at about 3:50 p.m. Sunday, June 9 in the 2600 block of Live Oak Street.

According to the authorities, the crane fell into a downtown apartment building during a storm with high winds.

A woman who was in the apartment building died in the accident. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.

At least six people were injured. Several patients were taken to local hospitals for medical treatment.
