Whitney Limbrick Injured in Zion Hill Community Three-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 96

Zion Hill Community, Texas (August 6, 2020) – A woman was injured in a fiery traffic collision on Wednesday in the Zion Hill Community, south of Jasper, according to DPS.

The crash happened shortly before noon, August 5, on U.S. Highway 96.

DPS said Jodie Warner, 32, of Jasper, was driving a 2012 Chrysler passenger vehicle southbound in the inside lane of the highway and was being followed by a 2010 Cadillac SUV, driven by Whitney Limbrick, 35, of Jasper. A 2016 Subaru passenger vehicle, driven by Lindia Chandler, 66, of Kirbyville, was traveling southbound in the outside lane.

Warner slowed down to turn left onto the crossover, and Limbrick didn’t see the turning Chrysler and swerved to avoid a rear-end collision. She veered to the right and then drove back to the left and struck the Chrysler.

The impact caused the Cadillac to slide across both lanes of traffic and was struck by the Subaru.

A private vehicle took Limbrick to the hospital for treatment. Her four children were uninjured in the crash.

Chandler and Warner were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

We wish Whitney Limbrick a quick recovery.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
