Woman Killed in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Gulf Freeway near Monroe

Houston, Texas (March 14, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Houston, according to police.

The fatal crash happened just after midnight, on the Gulf Freeway just before 610.

Police said a Nissan Sentra was traveling at a low rate of speed in the exit lane of the freeway when it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Tahoe.

A passenger in the Sentra, a woman, was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

The Sentra driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The driver and passenger of the Tahoe fled the scene.

The police are looking for the suspects.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
