Man Killed in Pearland Plane Crash at Pearland Regional Airport

Pearland, Texas (May 30, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, a man was killed Saturday afternoon in a plane crash in Pearland.

The deadly crash happened just before 3:00 p.m., May 29, at the Pearland Regional Airport.

DPS said a PZL-104 Wilga had arrived from Alvin, Texas, and had landed at the airport when it crashed into an embankment along the runway.

The man, who was piloting the aircraft, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a woman, was taken to Clear Lake Regional Hospital in an unknown condition.

Officials believe the victims are husband and wife.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
