One Killed in Houston School Bus Crash on Highway 59 at Fountainview

Houston, Texas – One person was killed Saturday evening in a rear-end collision involving a school bus crash in southwest Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 4:25 p.m., March 23, on Highway 59 at Fountainview.

Police said a Volkswagen rear-ended an Alief ISD school bus.

The Volkswagen driver was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The students on the bus were coming back from an out-of-city event. They were uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of Highway 59.

The crash remains under investigation.
