Abbey Houston Killed, Three Hospitalized after New Braunfels Car Crash on Shady Hollow
Comal County, Texas (January 21, 2019) – One person was killed, and three others were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in New Braunfels, according to a local news release.
Authorities said officers responded to Shady Hollow at about 12:54 p.m. January 20, after receiving a report of shots fired. Before they arrived Abbey Lynn Houston, 33, fled the scene at a high rate of speed in a grey Dodge minivan.
Houston then tried to go around a Ford F-250 in the 500 block of Shady Hollow, resulting in a collision.
Houston was declared dead at the scene.
Three occupants in the Ford were transported to SAMMC with non-life threatening injuries.
No further details were provided.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
