One Killed in Odessa Train-Vehicle Crash near West Murphy and Business 20

 Odessa, Texas (April 20, 2023) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed Wednesday morning in a train crash in Odessa.

The fatal crash happened around 8:25 a.m., April 19, near West Murphy and Business 20.

DPS said a Honda minivan and a Ford F250 pickup with a trailer collided, and the pickup truck came to a stop on the train tracks, where it was eventually struck by an oncoming train.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
