10 Killed in Addison Plane Crash at Addison Airport

Addison, Texas (July 1, 2019) – Ten people were killed Sunday morning after a plane crashed into a hangar at Addison Airport in Addison, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.

The crash happened just after 9:00 a.m. June 30, at Addison Airport.

NTSB said a twin-engine Beechcraft BE-350 King Air had just taken off for St. Petersburg, Florida before it crashed into the private hangar. There was no one inside the hangar at the time of the crash, but a helicopter and a jet were damaged.

Two crew members and eight passengers on board were killed in the fiery crash.

The aircraft was destroyed by the fire.

The airport was closed for about 45 minutes after the crash.

The NTSB is investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has video of it to email them at witness@ntsb.gov.
