16-Year-Old Boy Killed in Lamesa Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 829
Lamesa, Texas (December 12, 2019) – A 16-year-old boy was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning, southwest of Lamesa, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash took place around 8:17 a.m. December 11, on FM 829.
DPS said the boy was driving southbound when he veered off the roadway and overcorrected. He lost control and entered the northbound lane where he collided with a semi-truck.
The boy was killed in the crash.
The semi driver was uninjured in the crash.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The weather conditions were foggy and road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
