19-Year-Old Man Killed in Head-On Crash on US 90 in Liberty

19-Year-Old Man Killed in Liberty Two-Vehicle Crash on US 90 at Lee Tims Road

Liberty, Texas (June 14, 2022) – A 19-year-old Houston man was killed Sunday night in a head-on collision in Liberty, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m., on June 12, on US 90 at Lee Tims Road.

Police said the man was driving a Chevy Cobalt westbound when he attempted to pass an 18-wheeler and collided head-on with an eastbound GMC SUV. The Cobalt burst into flames after the collision.

The Cobalt driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
