2 Deputies Hit by Car during Chase near North Quaker and FM 2641 in Lubbock

Two Deputies Injured in North Lubbock Crash near North Quaker and FM 2641

Lubbock, Texas (November 19, 2019) – Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a traffic accident in North Lubbock, according to the authorities.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. November 18, near North Quaker and FM 2641, which is northwest of Hillcrest Country Club.

Authorities said the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to serve a warrant out of Ector County for Failure to Appear Assault by Strangulation Family Violence to 33-year-old Codie Dee Seale in the 6800 block of N County Road 1630.

Seale fled in a vehicle running over the foot of one deputy and hit the other deputy with an open door. A pursuit was initiated heading eastbound on FM 2641.

Seale then exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. He was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

Both deputies were taken to UMC with minor injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
