Austin, Texas – Two people were injured early Saturday morning in a motorcycle accident in northeast Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened just after 4:00 a.m., May 25, in the northbound lane of I-35 near La Posada Drive.

Officials said the Highway Emergency Response Operator (HERO) vehicle was responding to an unrelated single-vehicle collision when it collided with a motorcycle.

The motorcycle ended up underneath the HERO vehicle.

Two people were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center. One had serious, potentially life-threatening injuries and the other had non-life-threatening injuries.

No additional information was available.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
