Three Injured in San Antonio Crash at Aragon Drive and Palo Alto Drive
San Antonio, Texas (March 31, 2019) – Three people were injured early Sunday morning in an alleged DUI crash at an intersection in San Antonio, police said.
The wreck happened at about 2:10 a.m. at the intersection of Aragon Drive and Palo Alto Drive.
According to the police, a pick-up truck occupied by an elderly couple collided head-on with a compact car at the intersection.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extricated the man in his 70s driving the pick-up truck. He was then rushed to a hospital with head and internal injuries in critical condition.
The elderly woman in the pick-up truck was also transported to the hospital with chest and neck pain. A passenger in the compact car was also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the compact car was evaluated for a possible DUI.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
