Two Injured in Smith County School Bus Crash at SH-155 and FM 2661

Smith County, Texas (November 4, 2021) – Two people were injured Thursday morning in a school bus crash in Smith County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened just before 6:45 a.m., at the intersection of SH-155 and FM 2661.

DPS said a Bullard ISD bus was traveling westbound on FM-344 and was turning southbound onto SH-155 when it was struck by a pickup truck that was traveling northbound on SH-155.

The force of the impact caused the bus to roll onto its right side.

The bus driver was taken to UT-Health East Texas – Tyler in stable condition. 

The pickup truck driver was taken to UT-Health East Texas – Tyler for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
