Driver, Passenger Injured in Amarillo Crash at Folsom Road and Highway 60

Amarillo, Texas (June 18, 2019) – Two people were injured in a traffic collision Monday afternoon in Amarillo, police said.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Folsom Road and Highway 60 Monday, June 17.

According to the police, an RV was traveling northbound on Folsom Road and turning westbound onto Highway 60 when it failed to yield to a tractor-trailer, which was heading eastbound on Highway 60. The RV was hit on the driver side by a tractor-trailer.

The driver and passenger of the RV sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital. The names and the condition of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.

No further details were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
