Harris County, Texas (November 6, 2023) – Two people were killed and another was injured early Sunday morning in a wrong-way crash in east Harris County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 12:00 a.m., November 5, on Interstate 10 at Freeport Street.

Deputies said a vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the freeway when it collided with another vehicle. Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

The wrong-way driver and a passenger were killed in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

The other driver was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
